Bedarra Island on the Great Barrier Reef
Bedarra Island is located in the family group of islands of the Great Barrier Reef and sits halfway between Townsville and Cairns and are the sister group of the Whitsunday Islands.
The Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the natural world, stretches 350,000 square kilometers along the entire North Queensland coast. It is larger than the United Kingdom, longer than the Great Wall of China and is amongst the world’s top ten scuba and snorkeling destinations.
Regular flights are available to Cairns (CNS) and Townsville (TSV) from most major cities in Australia.

By Coach
Greyhound Bus and Premier Bus Service both run bus services from Cairns to Mission Beach return.

From Mission Beach you will transfer to a private charter boat for your trip to Bedarra Island (approx 40 mins).
By Car
Upon your arrival into Cairns International Airport (CNS) we advise our guest to organize a rental car and enjoy the scenic 2hr drive south of Cairns to the gorgeous coastal town of Mission Beach. From here you will meet your private water taxi transfer to deliver you to your island paradise.
We recommend Sugarland car rentals that operate from both Cairns & Mission Beach or any of the other major service providers located at the airport.
By Boat
We can book the private charter boat for you once your travel arrangements are known. If required, we will organise the private boat charter on your behalf once your travel arrangements are known. There are two companies that can provide this service. Mission Beach Charters and Mission Beach Water Taxi.
